Restylane and Perlane

Get the lift you’ve been looking for with the Restylane family of products. Restylane injectable gels instantly smooth away facial wrinkles with hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin that provides fullness and elasticity. As your skin's own supply of hyaluronic acid begins to diminish, lines and folds begin to appear. The body loses a teaspoon full of volume each year after age 40. This is equivalent to 5 syringes of filler. Injectable gels such as Restylane and Perlane correct this loss, improving facial wrinkles and folds with a clear natural gel that is specifically formulated to act like your body’s own hyaluronic acid. The result is fuller, younger looking skin. These injectables are now available with added Lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to make the procedure more comfortable.

Restylane injectable gels can be use to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including laugh lines, marionette lines, and lines below the nose or at the corners of the mouth.

These fillers can also be used to sculpt a more youthful appearance by improving the malar (upper cheekbone area), and smoothing out the jaw line. The lips can also be improved by adding volume and definition. Dr Vick offers a mini dental block with local anesthesia at no additional charge if desired for lip injections. He also uses topical anesthesia applied to the skin as a gel before filler injections for patient comfort.

Injetactable gels used in our office include Restylane and Perlane. Like Restylane, Perlane uses a clear gel formation of hyaluronic acid to add fullness and volume to facial features. The particles in Perlane are larger than those in Restylane, making it a beneficial choice for wrinkles that require a deeper injection into the skin.
